About Hair Transplantation
The strip hair transplantation approach is a way of acquiring follicular graphs from a donor strip taken from an area of the non-balding scalp. Extract the grafts from the strip using microscopes, and then transplant the grafts in the bald or thinning regions. This is a technique of acquiring grafts from the donor area whereby a strip of scalp and skin is removed from the donor region under local anesthesia. The donor incision is sutured closed and follicular unit grafts are dissected from the strip with the use of stereomicroscopic dissection. This approach is in comparison to follicular unit extraction (FUE) where the grafts are eliminated directly from the donor region one by one.

What About The Scar?
The scalp is very elastic. When the doner strip is removed, the scalp is sutured back together. There will be a thin, horizontal line hidden under the hair on the back of the scalp. However, if the person ever considers a close or shave cut, the scar would be visible and should consider the FUE method. The length of the scar will depend on the number of grafts extracted.
What About A “Trichophytic Closure?”
This technique will treat the wound edge in a way that would induce hair to grow through the scar to make it less visible. This technique is effective, but not 100% effective eliminating scar visibility.
