This patient is a 20 year old female who came to my office in Boca Raton for body contouring surgery and liposuction. In spite of eating a healthy diet and exercising daily she always felt out of proportion. She wanted to be able to wear clothes comfortably and look in proportion. She specifically didn't like her hips and abdomen. She was also wondering whether her scar could be improved as well. When I examined her I found she indeed did have some areas of diet resistant fat which was amenable to liposuction to improve. She had very good skin tone which would shrink nicely following surgery. She also had an indented appendectomy scar which could be improved with an internal scar release using a surgiwire. She underwent liposuction of the hips and abdomen and a scar release of the appendectomy scar. About 2000cc (about 5 pounds) was removed and she was able to start exercising and working out on the fifth day after surgery.
