What makes a woman decide to have breast augmentation in Boca Raton after she spends months, or even years, of thinking about it?

Many women whose breasts have become deflated after pregnancy and breastfeeding choose to restore their figure once their family is complete. Some women decide that they have lived with asymmetrical or misshapen breasts long enough and it's time to take action. Still others research the procedure, learn that it is safe and straightforward, and elect to create the fuller, shapelier look they have always wanted.

No matter what's motivating you, don't spend any more time just thinking about breast enlargement in Boca Raton. When you request a FREE consultation with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Schuster, you can feel confident that you are in good hands. A warm, caring plastic surgeon, Dr. Schuster will consider your individual needs carefully, then help you understand and think through your options.

The Basics – Breast Enlargement in Boca Raton

At Schuster Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, your breast augmentation procedure will be customized for you. You may choose saline or cohesive silicone gel breast implants, and Dr. Schuster will help you decide which size and shape will give you the look you're seeking. Incisions will be made around the areola, under the breast or in the armpit, locations that result in minimal scarring for most people. Dr. Schuster has experience placing implants both above and below the chest muscle.

Many women can benefit from a mastopexy, or breast lift, combined with breast augmentation. Boca Raton moms interested in "mommy makeover" surgery often need to restore both volume and position to regain a youthful profile.

Your Procedure, Your New Look

Breast enlargement surgery usually takes around two hours. It's performed as an outpatient procedure, under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. You'll return home the same day in a soft bandage or elastic bra with oral pain relievers to take for a few days as needed. Most women find they can go back to work in a few to several days, adding more strenuous activities gradually over a two to three week period.

With his extensive training, years of experience and dedication to continuing education, Dr. Schuster can create beautiful, natural looking breasts for you. If you're like most of his patients, you'll be thrilled with your new shape. You'll look forward to more clothing options—wearing dresses, tops and bathing suits you might have left on the rack before surgery. You're very likely to feel more satisfied with your appearance and you may even find your self-confidence at a new level.

Are silicone implants really safe?

After fourteen years of study—making silicone breast implants some of the most studied of all medical devices—the U.S. FDA approved a new generation of silicone gel implants in 2006. Silicone has many medical uses, including a variety of applications inside the body, and silicone gel implants are considered very safe.

Will the implants rupture?

There's no guarantee that your breast implants will last a lifetime. Saline breast implants occasionally rupture and deflate, with the solution harmlessly absorbed by the body. Silicone gel implants can also rupture, but the filling usually stays within the breast capsule. While it's easy to tell when a saline implant needs replacing, the FDA recommends women choosing silicone gel implants have periodic MRI exams to test for implant rupture.

Will I be able to breastfeed after surgery?

Most women can breastfeed successfully after breast augmentation.
